Castiglion del Bosco
Castiglion del Bosco Situated in the heart of Tuscany's Brunello winemaking region, Castiglion del Bosco is one of Tuscany's largest contiguous estates. It is located in the Province of Siena, just 60 miles south of Florence and 125 miles north of Rome. Castiglion del Bosco's vast property spans six miles, comprising nearly 4,500 spectacular acres of protected nature preserve.

This private Tuscan Estate has been carefully restored by Massimo Ferragamo and private investors to offer members and guests the opportunity to Vivere la Vera Toscana. Tuscan farmhouses are now refined private member villas, while Il Borgo, the village of historic buildings perched high on a hilltop, is home to the residential-style Suites at Il Borgo as well as restaurants, a culinary academy and specialty shops. The Estate also features an organic kitchen garden, celebrated vineyards and miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails. A full-service Apothecary Garden Spa, with treatments inspired by the land and organic botanical products handcrafted from the Estate's gardens, will open in 2010.

Today, Castiglion del Bosco is a completely restored private membership estate with a focus on the land, wine, and history, as well as building a unique multigenerational legacy for its members and their families.

Golf at Castiglion del Bosco blends the magnificent Tuscan landscape and the playing challenges of a Tom Weiskopf-designed, 18-hole championship course that will be ready for play in October 2010. Upon completion, the course will feature the longest golf hole in all of Europe - from the back tees, hole no. 4 will measure a staggering 667 yards. After an exhilarating round, members and guests can enjoy the hospitality of the Club House, which features a pro shop, bar and Tuscan Griglia.
