The Flaxby Country Resort, Yorkshire, England is ideally positioned between Harrogate and York and only 30 minutes from Leeds in North Yorkshire. Plans were recently unveiled by a York-based developer, The Skelwith Group, to build the regions largest luxury hotel around the world-class, 27-hole golf course. Flaxby Country Club will also feature conference facilities, nature trails and a 24-hour driving range. The course is a classical Yorkshire course and currently features more than 18,000 newly-planted trees and several lakes. The par 72 18-hole course is nearly 7,000 yards from the championship tees and offers tee positions for all skill levels as well. The club also includes a new nine-hole, par 35 academy course. Course improvements will be made to help in the bidding process of bringing major tournaments to Flaxby Country Club in the future.
